Undergraduate Concentrations (CX)

There are several concentrations offered to chemical engineering students which are listed below:

  1. Climate Change Adaptation
  2. Decision Analytics
  3. Hydrogen Mobility
  4. Non-Metallic Materials
  5. Nuclear Power Engineering
  6. Polymer Science & Technology
  7. Process Safety
  8. Refining and Petrochemicals
  9. Renewable Energy and Energy Storage
  10. Resilient Marine Infrastructures
  11. Thermal Systems
  12. Waste Management

General Requirements:

  • Minimum GPA of 2.0 is required for all BSc KFUPM students.
  • Students with applied major cannot enroll in concentrations.
  • Students who completed (79 – 115 hours).
  • KBS students allowed range between (50 to 110 earned hours).
  • Students who finished all junior level courses of the specific majors are eligible to enroll in the concentration after completing the pre-requisite.

Note: Students who are planning to take Internship/ Co-op are not allowed to take concentration.
