1. Lab Engr/Scientist (MS holder)
Responsibilities
Provide direct or indirect support to Chemical Engineering Teaching Labs
Provide direct or indirect support to scientific projects
Develop project schedules and deliverables timeline
Prepare project progress reports according to schedule
Assist senior Faculty/Researcher in drafting, planning and designing stages of the project
Able to execute precise scientific/engineering proposal computations
Devise technical and creative solutions to problems arising during the project accomplishment
Prepare estimates and budget for the teaching/research project consumables
Job Specifications
Both BS & MS in Chemical Engineering
Entry-level position in Chemical Engineering
Ability to work within the multidisciplinary team
Demonstrate organizational and project management skills
Excellent written and communication skills
Strong analytical and team-working capability
Working knowledge in MS Office tools
2. Laboratory Technician (BS holder)
Responsibilities
Conduct and assist in scientific experiments and investigations
Responsible for operating lab equipment
Proper handling of lab-based tests on a variety of chemicals, materials or products
Design and perform experiments
Maintenance of lab equipment and Maintain quality control
Demonstrate experiments for undergraduate Chemical Engineering students
Exercise good housekeeping, replenishing supplies, cleaning bench area, checking and ensure lab ware cleanliness and readiness for use
Collect, prepare and analyze test samples
Record the analyzed data and present the results
Write reports, summaries, reviews and present findings to the senior scientists
Maintain, calibrate and clean the equipment to sterility
Carry out risk assessments for experimentation
Organize all chemicals, fluids and compressed gases according to safety instructions
Regular update of the inventory of all chemicals and equipment
Job Specifications
B.S./Tech. Diploma in Chemical, Systems or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum two-year experience working in scientific research laboratory
Certified courses in health and safety; and preventive measures
Strong analytical and team-working skills
In-depth knowledge of potentially hazardous substances and their control
Working knowledge in MS Office tools.
Strong interpersonal skills with positive behavior
