Master of Science in Flow Assurance

Master of Science in Flow Assurance

Program Objective

To prepare graduates with advanced knowledge and professional skills in flow assurance to address technical challenges in upstream oil and gas operations and contribute to national and societal needs through safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible practice.

Program Requirement

  • BSc in chemical engineering, petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

Within a few years after graduation, graduates are expected to:

  • Establish and advance professional careers in flow assurance and related upstream oil and gas fields by applying advanced technical knowledge.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary efforts to evaluate and manage flow assurance challenges while considering safety, environmental, and operational requirements.
  • Take on technical or leadership responsibilities and maintain professional competence through ethical practice and continued learning.

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

Upon completion of this program, graduates will be able to:

  • Define scientific and engineering principles to formulate and solve complex flow assurance problems.
  • Analyze technologies used to address flow assurance challenges in upstream oil and gas processing.
  • Evaluate engineering solutions in global, economic, and societal contexts.
  • Apply sound practices in safety, health, and environmental protection.
  • Acquire and apply new knowledge using appropriate learning strategies.
  • Prepare and present scientific research effectively.
