The Chemical Engineering department organized a field visit to Ras Tanura Refinery and SABIC's KEMYA facility, as part of the educational curriculum. This excursion aimed to provide undergraduate students with a practical perspective on refinery operations and petrochemical manufacturing. At Ras Tanura, students gained insights into crude oil processing techniques, while the visit to SABIC's KEMYA facility focused on polymer production processes. Both sites are considered industrial benchmarks, renowned for their advanced technology and stringent safety standards. The visit enriched the students' academic experience, offering a comprehensive view of the complex systems and engineering challenges in these sectors.
