The Chemical Engineering Department, in collaboration with the College of Chemicals and Materials, recently facilitated a valuable site visit to King Salman Energy Park (SPARK) on February 15. This focused educational trip was designed for students enrolled in the Renewable Energy & Energy Storage concentration. A group of 23 CHE and ME students participated, gaining hands-on exposure to industry practices. They were accompanied by CHE Department Chairman, Dr. Hassan Baaqeel, and the coordinators of the CX and MX programs, Dr. Wael Fouad.
The visit offered students a unique opportunity to broaden their understanding of renewable energy technologies, complementing their academic studies with practical perspectives. Overall, it was an instructive and informative day, well-aligned with the department's commitment to enriching the educational experience.
