Biography

Dr. Shaikh Abdur Razzak serves as a Professor in the Chemical Engineering department at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia. He earned his PhD from The University of Western Ontario, Canada, and both his Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Chemical Engineering from KFUPM and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, respectively. A licensed Professional Engineer of Canada, Dr. Razzak is deeply involved in the Chemical Engineering field, both as an educator and researcher. He has taught a range of undergraduate and graduate courses, and actively supervises students at both levels. His research expertise lies in kinetics, reaction engineering, and environmental areas, with significant contributions to fluidization, wastewater treatment, and CO2 mitigation. He has secured fifteen research grants, resulting in 54 peer-reviewed articles, 4 US patents, and numerous conference papers. Additionally, Dr. Razzak has been instrumental in various community services and committees at KFUPM.
