Dr. Muhammad Nurunnabi Siddiquee serves as an Assistant Professor in the Chemical Engineering Department and is an Affiliate of the Centre for Refining & Advanced Chemicals (CRAC) at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM). Prior to his appointment at KFUPM, he held positions as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Sessional Instructor at the University of Alberta, Canada, and as a faculty member at Shahjalal University of Science & Technology (SUST) in Bangladesh. His educational background comprises a Ph.D. from the University of Alberta, an MSc from The University of Western Ontario, and a BSc from SUST, all in Chemical Engineering.

In terms of pedagogical experience, Dr. Siddiquee has taught a variety of chemical engineering courses across different institutions. At KFUPM, his teaching portfolio includes Fluid Mechanics, Kinetics and Reactor Design, and Principles of Chemical Engineering. He also instructed a Fluid Mechanics course at the University of Alberta and multiple courses, such as Fluid Mechanics, Process Control, Chemical Process Technology, and Fuel & Energy, at SUST.

Dr. Siddiquee's research is primarily focused on the valorization of petroleum fractions. His areas of interest include the controlled oxidative conversion of low-value heavy petroleum fractions to precursors for carbon fibers, production of value-added products from light petroleum fractions, and in situ monitoring of liquid-phase oxygen during the autoxidation of hydrocarbons. Additional research domains include multiphase oxidation in microfluidic reactors, asphalt/bitumen hardening, and biofuel production from waste materials. His scholarly contributions have been widely published in reputable journals, including but not limited to, Fuel, Energy & Fuels, Fuel Processing Technology, Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, Reaction Chemistry & Engineering, Chemical Record, and Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews. Furthermore, he has actively participated in various conferences, contributing both in proceedings and presentations.
