Summary

Dr. Mohamed Kheireddine Aroua is an internationally recognized scholar and highly cited researcher with over three decades of academic and research experience in chemical engineering. He has published 322 journal papers, with an H-index of 69 and over 20,000 citations on Scopus.

His work focuses on carbon dioxide (CO₂) capture and utilization, waste valorization, and sustainable separation processes, aiming to address global environmental and energy challenges. He has successfully supervised 37 PhD students (including three dual PhDs) and 27 Master’s students, fostering a new generation of scientists and engineers.
Dr. Aroua has received numerous prestigious awards, including First Place in the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Water Award (2023) and the IChemE Global Award in the Water Category (2018). He has also been recognized as one of the Top 2% Scientists Worldwide and was named a Highly Cited Researcher in 2018 and 2019.
