I am a Chemical Engineer with over 3 years’ experience as Research Engineer at the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Refining and Advanced Chemicals (IRC-RAC), KFUPM. Prior to that, I have obtained both PhD and MSc at KFUPM with Bachelor of Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria-Nigeria. I have worked as a University lecturer between 2019-2021, where I taught several undergraduate courses including Chemical Reaction Engineering and Computer applications to Chemical Engineers. I also supervised undergraduate research and design projects. At IRC-RAC, I have been working in the heterogeneous catalysis and Artificial Intelligence-Computational Modelling groups. I am actively engaged in metal oxides supported catalyst synthesis, catalyst characterization and testing, kinetic studies, and general analytical activities. I have contributed to several research projects for Sinopec, Honeywell UOP and Saudi Aramco. My research interests include dehydrogenation, cracking, n-butane reforming, CO2 utilization, machine learning guided catalyst developments and kinetic/molecular level modelling. I have authored and coauthored several papers in the field of heterogeneous catalysis and the applications of machine learning in catalyst development, published in reputable ISI scientific journals, two issued US patents and have contributed in many conferences and symposia.
