Dr. Christos Argyropoulos holds an Integrated Master’s degree (MEng.) in Chemical Engineering from NTUA in 2006. He also received two Master's degrees (MSc.) in "Computational Mechanics" and "Mathematical Modelling in Modern Technologies and Financial Engineering" from the same university in 2008 and 2010, respectively. He earned his D.I.C. and Ph.D. in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London in 2015. He was a Postdoc at Texas A&M University and Mary Kay O' Connor Process Safety Center, Qatar (2015-2018). In 2018, he obtained a prestigious industrial research fellowship at NCSR Demokritos funding by Stavros Niarchos Foundation and Motor Oil Hellas. In 2020, he joined the European University Cyprus (EUC) as a Senior Research Fellow. In 2022, he was appointed as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Health Risk Assessment and Public Health at the School of Medicine, EUC. In 2025, he was appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM).
His research interests based on the importance of multidisciplinary. In general, he deals with the development of processes and models for the investigation of complex phenomena in the field of computational fluid mechanics, process safety, health risk assessment, public health, environmental health and exposure, occupational health and safety, and indoor air quality.
He has acquired extensive experience as project manager in several local and European research programs. He is a chartered Chemical Engineer of Technical Chamber of Greece and Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK), starting in 2008 and 2023, respectively. He is a Fellow of Royal Society for Public Health and Associate Member of IChemE. He is a member of International Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate (ISIAQ) and member of Cyprus Epidemiology and Public Health Association (CyEPHA). Also, Editorial Board Member (Associate Editor) of JMIR Public Health and Surveillance journal and Journal of Medical Internet Research, as well as topical advisory panel member for MDPI journals “Pollutants”, “Processes” and “Atmosphere. Finally, he is a member of the Socio-Economic Analysis Committee (SEAC) at European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).
